Bearing capacity optimization of T-shaped soil-cement column-improved soft ground under soft fill

چکیده

During dredging activities, a large amount of dredged clay slurry or lump is produced. A dumping site composed soft near the water body often used to deposit fill. Soil-cement columns are commonly employed treat ground for this application. Under fill, failure dominates behaviour composite ground. Hence, soil-cement slab needed form load transfer platform above columns, which costly. As an alternative, use T-shaped column with enlarged cap proposed. In study, responses measured experimentally, calibrate numerical model. The results parametric analyses show that implementation under fill can change governing mode into failure, once diameter exceeds certain value, after improvement efficiency same between and column-slab system. height in negligible difference bearing capacity, minimum value 0.3 m suggested design avoid punching failure.
